FAQ's and Policies

A Quick Note About Cameras and Privacy.

We totally get that home cameras can bring peace of mind when you're away - and hey, we're all for tech that keeps pets safe! That said, we kindly ask that all cameras and monitors be turned off during our stays with your furry/feathery babies.

Why? Because even your pet sitter deserves to unwind without feeling like they're on Big Brother: Fuzzy Edition. Especially, but not exclusively, in private areas like bedrooms and bathrooms - cameras and/or baby monitors in those spaces are a hard no. No exceptions, no negotiation, no "oops, we forgot." Our sitters especially deserve a modicum of privacy while they take care of private matters such as changing clothes, sleeping, showers and bathroom breaks.

We choose to operate with the utmost level of trust and respect, starting with who it is that is chosen to take care of your pets, be in your home and give you peace of mind that everything is peaceful and safe at home. We often send little 'report cards' and photos to you while you're out and about to let you know we've been here, taking care of things, and letting you know you can rest assured everything is ok at home, You also have a chance to meet with your person in advance so you can develop that respect and trust ahead of time.

We're all about trust, transparency, and keeping things pawsitively respectful while not feeling like people may be sitting around eating a bowl of popcorn and watching us, while we sit around eating a bowl of popcorn and watching your pets. We expressly do not give permission to be recorded or viewed during our time at your home. If we find a camera or recording device in your home, we reserve the right to disable it or cover it immediately.

Thank you for understanding.

Will I Receive Updates While I'm Gone?

Absolutely!  We want you to feel confident that everything is going according to our discussions. We often send photos of your sweeties to you while you're away so you can rest assured they are being loved up, taken care of and happy. We know it gives you peace of mind and helps you to trust in us. If we also notice something that seems out of the norm from when we first visited, we will reach out in those instances as well. You can also feel free to ask about things or send your sitter a message if there's something you forgot to share before you left or have an additional request.

If You're Staying Overnight, What Do I Need to Provide?

Think about the typical things you depend on when you stay somewhere, and that's a good place to start. Access to your home (key, security code, etc), wifi login information, where to park, and information about things unique to your home (remotes, voice-activated devices, etc.).

Please have toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap and dish soap available, along with bath and hand towels so we can stay tidy during our stay.

We ask that you provide a comfortable place with fresh linens for your pet sitter to sleep. If your fur baby is used to sleeping with you, we're excited to sleep with them too while you're gone. We want to do everything to make them feel as comfortable as possible, and pack mentality suggests your fur baby feels safer while sleeping with others. A spare bedroom where they're allowed to be is great.

We often bring our own food, but it's also nice to know that if we need a shake of salt or pepper or a splash of milk, for instance, that you're ok with us using yours. Please talk with your sitter ahead of time if you're open to sharing things in your kitchen or garden, for instance, while you're gone.

We ask that you also provide whatever is needed to take care of your pet - food, leashes, harnesses/collars, bedding, toys, towels to dry them off if it rains or they go swimming in your pond, and supplies needed to fulfill whatever duties we're asked to perform. An example would be a rake for the chicken coop if you'd like us to keep it tidy while you're gone, or let us know where brooms, shovels, paper towels and pet stain removers are kept.

If you are expecting deliveries, service people or others who will be stopping by during our stay, please let us know who they are, when they will arrive, and their purpose for being there so we can assure your wishes, and only your wishes, are met.

Give us a home tour when we come to meet your pet. Let us know where light switches are, the thermostat, electrical outlet box, generator, remotes or timing on automatic devices such as Roombas, security lighting, automatic pet doors, as well as where your pet's food, toys, treats and potty places are. We're usually pretty good about asking these things and taking notes to make sure we all know what's going on before we arrive to watch your pets.

Do You Cook Meals While Staying Here?

In order to take care of your babies, yes. We need to take care of ourselves as well. We will clean up after ourselves, washing any of your pots, pans or dishes we may have used before we leave.

If you have a food allergy or condition such as Celiac Disease, please let us know in advance of our stay. We do not want to cause any challenges for you upon your return! It may be possible to change up our meal planning ahead of time to avoid cross contamination or arrange to eat elsewhere.
